On June 22, fourteen youth and seven adults from St. William Catholic Church in Ward visited the Catholic Diocese of Charleston and the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. During the trip, the group visited with The Most Reverend Robert E. Guglielmone, who is the 13th Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Charleston.  They also toured the Chancery, the Bishop’s home, and the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. After the extensive tours, the group participated in the noon day mass.  This was quite an experience for the group because part of the mass was in Latin. To finish off the day, the group enjoyed a picnic lunch at the Battery Park and then went sightseeing on Market Street.
