TRENTON, S.C. – Mrs. Mamie L. Nicholson Blocker, 91, of Rock Springs Drive, entered into rest July 25, 2012. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2012 at First Providence Baptist Church with the Rev. Reginald White officiating. Interment will be in Springfield Baptist Church, Trenton, SC.

Mrs. Blocker, a native of Edgefield County was a member of Springfield Baptist Church where she sang in the senior choir and as mother of the church.

Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy McKinney, Columbia, SC, Pearlean (Joseph) Robbins and Mamie L. (Marion) Gardenhire, Trenton, SC; six sons, John H. (Nannie) Blocker, Jr., Trenton, SC, Isiah (Fannie) Blocker, North Augusta, SC, Walter (Felicia) Blocker, Sr., Columbia, SC, Willie Herbert (Emma) Blocker, Trenton, SC, Thomas M. (Connie) Blocker, Sr., Sacramento, CA and Gary A. (Emina) Blocker, North Augusta, SC; two sisters, Mary Ella Anderson, Edgefield, SC and Rosada Anderson, Jamaica, NY; two brothers, Willie Nicholson, Edgefield, SC and Isiah (Sallie Mae) Nicholson, Ridge Spring, SC; two brothers-in- law, Allen West, Sr., Ridge Spring, SC and Elijah (Nancy) Blocker, Sr., Aiken, SC; 25 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
