JOHNSTON, S.C. – Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Taylor Miller, age 86, will be held Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Johnston United Methodist Church at 3 pm with burial to follow in Ebenezer Cemetery in Trenton. The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary from 2 – 3 pm prior to the service. Bland Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Miller, widow of the late Coy J. Miller, Sr. and a native of Winnsboro, SC died Thursday, August 30, 2012. She was a daughter of the late Lawrence William and Carrie McElveen Taylor. She was a graduate of the University of South Carolina where
she was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority. For a number of years, she taught in Edgefield County and Aiken County schools, was a former Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout Den Mother. She was a former member and past president of “Country Gardeners” of Trenton, SC. Mrs. Miller was a member of Johnston United Methodist Church.
Survivors include sons: Coy J. (Buddy) Miller, Jr. and Albert Sidney Miller (Cheryl; daughter: Pamela M. Price (Steve); sister: Mildred Hallman.; eight grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
