EDGEFIELD, S. C. – Mr. Willie Nicholson, 94, entered into rest October 21, 2012. Funeral services will be held 12 noon Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Jeter Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Jasper Lloyd officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Nicholson, a native of Edgefield County was a deacon and member of Jeter Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Barbara (Corta) Etheredge, Gambrills, MD; Ethel J. Nicholson and Grace (Charles) Burroughs, Phila., PA ; W. Ernestine (Clyde) Curry, Covington, GA; a grandson raised in the home, Carlton M. (Carmen) Burroughs, Alpharetta, GA; a sister, Mary Ella Anderson, Edgefield, SC; a brother, Isaac (Sallie) Nicholson, Jr., Ridge Spring, SC; adopted sister, Rosada Anderson, Jamaica, NY; sister-in-law, Willa J. Lanham, Aiken, SC; brother-in-law, Allen West, Sr., Ridge Spring, SC; 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
