Hunter Education Class at NWTF

Hunter Education Class at NWTF

The National Wild Turkey Federation will hold an onsite hunter education class from 5-8 PM, starting Tuesday, December 11, and ending Thursday, December 13.  The class is open to the public, and will be held in the Federal Conference Center; attendance for all 3 nights is mandatory for successful completion.  They will take up a collection for pizza each night, and we have a working supper during class.  Other than that, there is no charge.

This is a hands-on class, thought to give better, more complete instruction than is possible for any online class, and of course it is also interactive, allowing the student opportunity for questions and comments.

Tom Hughes will teach the class, along with hunter education apprentice instructors Tyler Brown and Teresa Carroll.  The class is not just for kids—we take all ages.  Note that some states require hunter education for all ages, so if you plan to hunt out of state, you may not be able to get a license, even if you were born before South Carolina’s mandatory cut-off date.

There is room for 50 students, and right now all 50 spots are vacant, but that won’t last.  Sign up online athttp://www.register-ed.com/programs/42
