Spring Revival: Mount Canaan Baptist Church will have Spring Revival on March 27, 28, 29 at 7 p.m. each evening. The gospel will be preached by Rev. Martris Mims of  Augusta, GA. We, the congregation, and pastor. Rev. George L.Brightharp are inviting all to attend. Please come!

Annual Walk/Ride: 30 & Up Social Club will sponsor their 1st Annual Walk/Bike Ride March 30, in memory of Christ Lanham. All proceeds will benefit the Kidney Foundation. Register to walk ($5) at 9 a.m. at Edgefield Town Square, finish at Bi-Lo; register to ride at 11 a.m.($5). Ride begins at 12:15 p.m. starting at the Turkey Federation, then to Greenwood and back to the Turkey Federation. After the walk there will be family fun and an Easter egg hunt Easter pictures, and cooking on the grill at the National Wild Turkey Federation.

A celebration of the risen Christ: Everyone is welcome at The Great Vigil of Easter, Saturday, March 30, at 6:30pm. The Church of the Ridge, Trinity Church, Edgefield, S.C. 313 Simpkins Street.

Community Sunrise Service: The town of Edgefield will have the annual Community Easter Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m. at Slade Lake.

Easter Sunrise Service: Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Johnston is having their Easter Sunrise Service, Sunday, March 31, at 5:30 a.m. The public is invited. Rev. Lewis Burt is pastor.

Sunrise Service: Republican Grove Baptist Church at 276 Gary Road will host Sunrise Service on Sun., March 31 at 6 a.m; with breakfast to follow. Everyone is welcome. Rev. Willie Patten is pastor.

Sunrise Service: The Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 3300 Martintown Rd., Edgefield, invites everyone to join us for Sunrise Service on Easter Sunday, March 31 at 6:30 a.m. to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Breakfast will be served after our service. Rev. Rodney Edmond is pastor.

Sunrise Service: Dry Creek Baptist Church in Ward, will be celebrating Easter with a Sunrise Service on March 31,  at 7:00 AM.  The service will be led by pastor Rev. Barry Epps. Sacraments of communion will be included as a part of the service.  After the service, an Easter breakfast will be served in the fellowship hall.The church family invites everyone to attend.

Easter Services: Antioch Baptist Church on Hwy. 23, Edgefield, will have Sunrise Service at 7:30 a.m., breakfast at 7:50 a.m. and morning worship at 8:45 a.m. You are invited to join us.

FFA Plant Sale: Ridge Spring-Monetta FFA Spring Festival of Flowers, April 1-5, on display and for sale in the Agriculture Department’s Greenhouse are assorted pansies, coleus, and Boston ferns as well as tomatoes, peppers, cantaloupes, watermelons and other vegetables. Pancake Supper: Concordia Masonic Lodge in Edgefield is hosting a pancake supper to benefit the Boy Scouts Troop 30 and Cup Scout Pack 30 on Tues., April 2 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $6 for 3 pancakes and 2 sausages. Carry out only. Purchase at NAPA Auto Parts in Edgefield and DJ’s Corner Cuts in Johnston.

Water/Gatorade Donations: April 1-19, Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Johnston will be collecting bottled water and bottled Gatorade that will be distributed to four  community fire departments: Johnston, Ridge Spring, Monetta, and Center (Hwy. 1) the week of April 22. Collecton Sites are First Citizens Bank in Johnston and Ridge Spring, IGA in Johnston, Ridge Auto Service in Ridge Spring,  Goldman’s Hardware Hwy. 1 and Mt. Calvary Church Office Mon. – Thurs, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to make donations.

Steak Supper Benefit: American Legion Post 154 will hold its annual Steak Supper, Sat., April 6, from 5-7 p.m. Eat in at the Legion Hut or take out. Tickets $12 for Ribeye and all the trimmings  Tickets may be purchased at Maxwell and Halford or from any Legionaire.

Friends of the Library : (FOL) wants your support to enhance Library services.  Join us for a tax-deductible $25, dropped off at the Library anytime between now and May 31.  We meet at the Library every third Thursday of the month at 5PM.

Usher’s Anniversary: Science Hill Baptist Church Usher Board will celebrate their 84th Anniversary on April 7, at 4 p.m. Rev. Sammie Williams will be the guest speaker. Rev. Lorenzo Williams is pastor. Everyone is welcome.

Pastor’s Anniversary: Rev. R.C. Oglesby, Antioch Baptist Church, Hwy. 178, Saluda, will be celebrating his 13th Anniversary on April 14, at 2:30PM.  Rev. Golf Tourney: Johnston United Methodist Church 2nd Annual Golf Tournament will be played at Persimmon Hill Country Club on April 20, at 8:30 a.m. Proceeds go to the Johnston Food Bank and the JUMC Mission Fund.
