Great Sponsors Support the Johnston Peach Blossom Festival

peach-blossomsFestivals are fun for everyone, but great sponsors make it possible.

The sponsors of the Johnston, S.C., Peach Blossom Festival, which will be held May 4, 2013, make it possible to keep the Festival free or low-cost for patrons. In addition, it helps raise additional money that can be used to reinvest in the Johnston area.

This year, the Festival is pleased to announce that Alltel Wireless is an Enhanced Corporate Sponsor. Their sponsorship will enable the Festival to provide additional amenities to participants, particularly in the area of entertainment on the Alltel Stage.

This year’s Johnston Peach Blossom Festival Corporate Sponsors are Edgefield County Hospital, First Citizens Bank, IGA, SCE&G, J.W. Yonce and Sons, Northland Communications, and Home Related Health Care.

Last year, thousands of patrons descended on Johnston to enjoy the day set aside to honor the peach industry, which has been so important in the development of the area. Each year, the Town goes all out with the Festival to remind citizens about the peach industry and to open its arms to visitors.

The popular Festival is taking applications for individuals, organizations or businesses interested in being a part of event in these areas:

  • Arts and Crafts: Missy Cleveland , (803) 480-7286; 501 Weaver Road, Johnston, SC 29832, clevelandbrian@bellsouth.net;
  • Parade: Roger Lamb, (803) 275-0438, 505 Roland Ave., Johnston, SC 29832
  • Food Concessions: Noah Peterson, (803) 480-0135, P.O. Box 282, Johnston, SC 29832, amossonsfh@yahoo.com;

In addition to the areas listed above, the Festival also has a Friday, May 3, street dance in downtown Johnston, designed especially for families. This year’s featured band will be “121 Band,” a crowd-pleasing group from Newberry that has performed in the entertainment portion of the Festival in the past.

This year’s Johnston Peach Blossom Festival Dance Sponsors are Titan Farms and Dr. Hugh Morgan Family Practice.
