Jim Mohorn Memorial: On Sunday, April 21 at 3 p.m. the Johnston United Methodist church will be hosting a Celebration of Jim Mohorn’s life. Jim was a long time band director at Strom Thurmond High School and the choir director at Johnston UMC before his retirement.The public is invited to attend.

Class of ’62 Meeting: Edgefield County High School Class of 1962-63 Reunion Meeting will be held Sun., April 21 at 4 p.m. at Union Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Trenton.

On Golden Pond:Edgefield County Theater Company will present “On Golden Pond” by Ernest Thompson April 19-21 and April 26-28 at the theater in Edgefield. Show times are at 8 p.m. April 19, 20, 26 and 27 and at 3 p.m. on April 21 and 28.Seating is reserved and tickets($18) can be purchased by calling 803-637-3833.

Auditions: for the summer production at the Edgefield County Theater, Second Samuel, by Pamela Parker, will take place on April 21 & 22 at 7 p.m. at the theater on Main Street in Edgefield. Golf Tourney: Johnston United Methodist Church 2nd Annual Golf Tournament will be played at Persimmon Hill Country Club on April 20, at 8:30 a.m. Proceeds go to the Johnston Food Bank and the JUMC Mission Fund.
