School Art Show at Purple Fence

Invitation for Show and Reception – 

The art students of Strom Thurmond High School, under the direction of Beth Clark,are having an art show and reception at “the Purple Fence” in Edgefield on Wed., April 24, at 2:30, which is an early release day for students. Numerous students have received awards this year and more are to come.

The AP art studio class went on a field trip to tour the Columbia Museum of Art’s “Monet to Matisse” exhibit. Students helped out in the community with various projects. STHS has had 1st place winners in the Career Logo contest, the Attorney Generals Gun Violence contest, the Reel Art competition and the Goodwill, “Goodboats Race” logo contest for the CSRA area. They have displayed in juried shows at the Morris Museum of Art in Augusta and Trinity Mission in Edgefield. Everyone is welcome to come by and view the artwork, meet these talented students, and enjoy the refreshments.
