Golf Carts Stolen From Local Country Clubs

A total of 8 golf carts and 10 battery chargers were stolen from 2 area golf courses over the week of May 13.  According to a report filed by the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office, 4 golf carts and 4 battery chargers were stolen sometime during the aforementioned week from Pine Ridge Country Club.  The carts are described as being green, EZ-GO golf carts, and the total estimated value of the stolen property was listed to be over $9,000.

Additionally, the report states that while investigating this crime, the ECSO learned that a similar theft had occurred at Persimmon Hill Golf Course in Saluda, SC.  The ECSO did confirm through the Saluda County Sheriff’s Office that 4 golf carts and 6 battery chargers had been taken from the Persimmon Hill Course on May 17.
