Friends of the Library: (FOL) wants your support to enhance Library services.  Join us for a tax-deductible $25, dropped off at the Library anytime between now and May 31.  We meet at the Library every third Thursday of the month at 5PM. Join now and be entered into a raffle to be drawn at the end of May for a book-related gift!  We do good work – like the new Dot Mims Children’s Area!  $25 single, $50 family, $5 student, $100 sponsor, $250 patron, $1000 business.

May Day:  Mine Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 1799 Johnston Hwy., will hold their Annual May Day Celebration on Saturday, May 25. The yard sale will be held from 8am-12pm. Power Hour will be held from 12pm-1pm. The May Day Celebration will begin at 1pm.

Church Anniversary: Science Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 5 Rock Rd., Trenton, will celebrate their 145th anniversary, Sunday, May 26, beginning with Sunday School at 9 a.m. Rev. Calvin Robinson will bring the message. Rev. Lorenzo Williams is the pastor.

100 Women in White & 100 Men in Black: Republican Grove Baptist Church, 276 Gary Hill Road, Edgefield, invites everyone to their 100 Women in White & 100 Men in Black Program on Sunday, May 26, at 2 p.m. with guest minister, Rev. Hodges Bush and special guest Edgefield Community Mass Choir.

North Augusta Memorial Day Ceremony:  Mon., May 27, 11:00am at Wade Hampton Park, downtown North Augusta on Georgia Avenue, honoring all deceased military veterans; arranged by the Jesse C. Lynch Memorial American Legion Post 71.  Keynote Speaker will be Rev. David Thompson, the Rector of St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church in North Augusta.
