Burton Center Foundation Names New Members to Board

brad-christieDr. Brad Christie, Acting President of Erskine College, has a bachelor’s degree from Davidson College and a master’s degree from the University of Virginia.  He received his doctorate degree from Duke University and masters of divinity from Erskine Theological Seminary.  He serves on the Board of Directors of the Abbeville Opera House and is an active member of the Thomas Cooper Society.

ryan-johnsonC. Ryan Johnson, Greenwood County Magistrate, graduated from Clemson University with a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science.  He received his law degree from the Barry University School of Law.  He is a member of the South Carolina Summary Court Judges Association.

The Burton Center Foundation was established in 1986 to assist Burton Center to enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities and special needs as well as their families by providing resources to support the programs & services.  These resources have provided refurbished vans, van lifts, wheelchairs, special equipment to enhance skills, clothing, food, medical supplies, medical expenses, utility bills, ramps, summer camp, special events and activities.
