Accused Murderer Pleads Guilty

 – Sentenced to 25 Years – 

Accused murderer, Fredrick Dale Harvey, Jr., 27, of Allendale, SC, pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter as part of a plea agreement, Wed., Aug. 14, at the Edgefield Court House.  Harvey was originally charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime for the Aug. 19, 2012 murder of Marshall Butler, Jr., 33, of Johnston.

Harvey’s sentencing came just days shy of a year from the night he shot and killed Butler at the former Executive Car Care.  The two had attended a party at the location when Harvey shot Butler twice in the head.  Butler died at the scene.

A second person, Tomekia Miller, 31, of Aiken, was also charged with accessory after the fact in this case.  She is still awaiting trial.
