Man Charged in Virgil Wall Burglary Sentenced

virgil-wall-4Julius L. Rogers, the man charged in the June 13, 2013, Virgil Wall Road burglary in which over $12,000 worth of items including firearms was stolen, was sentenced Mon., Aug. 5, to 14 years in prison.  Rogers pled guilty to Burglary 2nd Violent, a lesser charge than the original of Burglary 1st Violent.  (The violent attachment on the charge is due to the fact that in stealing firearms, Rogers became armed while in the residence.)  Rogers’ sentencing came as part of a plea agreement.  He will have to serve at least 85% of the 14 years sentence.
