Uniform Sale: Edgefield County Hospital Auxiliary is sponsoring a uniform sale Thurs., Sept. 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Fri., Sept. 20 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will be held in the chapel. The sale will include scrubs, lab coats, shoes, stethoscopes, blood pressure cups and gift items.

World Craft Party: Edgefield Baptist Association Building, Greenwood Hwy, Edgefield,on Sat. Sept 21, from 10:00a.m. to 12 noon. Refreshments will be served.  Crafts will be for sale as well as catalogue orders will be taken. The WMU is sponsoring this event.

Southern Studies Showcase: The Old Edgefield District Genealogical Society and Old Edgefield District African American Genealogical Society are hosting a “Southern Studies Showcase” in Edgefield on September 20 and 21, 2013. Revival: Church on the Rock, F.B.H., 92 Calhoun St., Johnston, S.C. will hold revival services Sunday, Sept. 22 at noon with Pastor Keith Smith, Jr., and Sept. 23-27 at 7:30 p.m. with Apostle Roger Edwards on Monday, Pastor Marsha Hopkins on Tuesday, Pastor Patricia Stokes on Wednesday, Pastor Lonnie Jones on Thursday and Pastor Billy Smith on Friday. Children’s Books Campaign: County Council Chairman Dean Campbell has designated the Friends of the Edgefield County Library the Chairman’s Charity of the Year.  Donations to the Chairman’s fund will be used by the Friends to purchase books for children for the Edgefield, Trenton and Johnston libraries.  The campaign lasts through the end of September. Please make out checks to Friends of the Library and mail to the Edgefield County Public Library, 105 Courthouse Square, Edgefield 29824.

Doughnut Sale: The Cosmetology Class and Club of Strom Thurmond Career Center will be selling Krispy Kreme donuts at The Heritage Jubliee Festival on Saturday, Sept. 28 @ 7:00am. Those purchasing a box of doughnuts will receive a free cup of coffee and nail polish service. Please come out to support our group. Harvest Festival Pageant: Miss Harvest Festival beauty pageant will be held on Saturday, October 19, at Ridge Spring Civic Center at 10:00 and 3:00. Young ladies between the ages of birth-20 are invited to compete. The Miss (17-20) will be awarded a scholarship to the college of her choice. The deadline for applications is Wed., October 9.
