Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer: The Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer will be held Monday, November 4, 6 pm at the Edgefield First Baptist Church. Women throughout the United States and around the world will be uniting in prayer. We invite men and women of ALL denominations to come join us in prayer for our country and the world.

Special Called Board Meeting: Edgefield County Water & Sewer Authority will have a Special Called Board Meeting on Monday, November 4, at 5:30 p.m. 100 Waterworks Road Edgefield, to approve the Fiscal Year 2013 Audit.

Republican Women of Edgefield County: (RWEC) will be hosting their Annual Membership Drive on November 5t 6:30 p.m. at Edgefield Town Hall.  Senator Katrina Shealy will be the featured speaker and refreshments will be served to members and guests. The public is invited.

Veterans Tribute: W. E. Parker Elementary School invites all veterans to a program, a musical tribute,  in their honor on Nov. 8, at 8:45 a.m.

Oyster Roast: Edgefield County Chamber of Commerce will hold an oyster roast, Nov. 9, at 5 p.m. in the Johnston Municipal Parking Lot. The roast will benefit Fox Creek, Strom Thurmond High, and Wardlaw Academy. Tickets are being sold at First Citizens Banks, Regions Bank, SRP Federal Credit Union, Turkey Shoppe and the Chamber.

Veterans Day Program: This year’s Veterans Day program will be hosted by Edgefield Post 6932 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in the town square on November 11,, at 3:00 p.m. There will be entertainment, singing and a chance to celebrate with our veterans.  Come join us there. In case of rain will be held at the American Legion Hut. * Veterans should meet 15 min. ahead of time in front of Wells Fargo Bank.

Shopping Trip: Macedonia Baptist Church in Edgefield is sponsoring a shopping trip to Charleston on Nov. 30. All seats are $30. Bus     will leave Piedmont Tech at 6 a.m. For more info contact Wallatte Phillips at 637-5989. Money is due by Nov. 1.
