ECH Expressed Hospitality on Rural Health Day

The Edgefield County Hospital was expressing great hospitality on Thursday at lunchtime.  Staff gathered to cook and serve a hearty meal for the community at large.  This included, among the county agencies, EMS, the media community, the hospital staff (and that is about 150), Fire Department, medical offices, nursing home, and county officials.

One new face there was Timothy Williams (not to be confused with Hospital Board Chairman Timmerman Williams) the new HR director  (Human Resources) for the hospital.

Tables were spread under a large white tent, and among the cooks was Mitch Knight, Maintenance Tech.  It was nice to see a married couple, united for lunch: that was the hospital’s Director of Maintenance Zack Strom and his wife, Lynn Strom who is Administrator for Edgefield County.

This event was in celebration of National Rural Health Day.
