Dog Sustains Injuries From Animals at Large

What was described in a “small white poodle” in an Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office report was injured in an attack by two dogs roaming at large on Eagle Road in North Augusta (Edgefield County).  According the ECSO report, the injured dog’s owner was leaving her residence when she noticed a white husky in her rear view mirror.  The complainant stated that as she backed up, she saw another husky, black and white in color, attack her poodle.  The dog owner was able to stop the attack by blowing her car’s horn, but as she went to retrieve her pet, the aggressive husky again tried to attack her dog, which she placed in her car.  Before the dog was taken to the vet, the responding deputy was able to observe blood on the poodle.

The owner of the huskies was located at a residence on Ruby Road.  She was informed of the incident and told she would have to keep her dogs on her property.  She was also issued a ticket for domestic animal at large.  The ECSO’s animal control officer did arrive on the scene and photograph the offending dog.
