Gaming House Raided in Trenton

The Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office has released the details of a raid they conducted at a residence on Tanglewood Drive in Trenton, Thursday, Feb. 28.  According their report, the ECSO’s narcotic’s unit as well as their SWAT team, ECSO investigators, and the Trenton Police Department executed a search warrant on the address for an illegal gambling operation.

Once inside, a total of 4 video poker machines were found.  The poker machines as well as a total of $759.09 were seized from the residence.  Additionally, two vehicles were towed from the scene. 

Five subjects were also found in the home a the time of the raid.  A Trenton man was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of gambling devices and operating a gaming house.  The other four subjects, all from Saluda, SC, were arrested and charged with gambling.  All five were transported to the Edgefield County Detention Center without incident.
