Members of the Edgefield County Historical Society worked this past weekend to get old Horn’s Creek Church into readiness for next Sunday’s Palm Sunday service.  The church has been vacant and vandalized for many years; however, the Historical Society is erecting a new caretakers cottage so that it can be safe-guarded and restored.     The Palm Sunday service will be a  momentous celebration  for the church which was established in 1768 – almost two and a half centuries ago!  Revolutionary War and Confederate re-enactors will be present to mark the occasion.  The public is invited to join in the celebration.

A delicious meal and drinks will be served after the ceremony.  Horn’s Creek Church is located on Old Stage Road about five miles south of Edgefield.  The meeting begins at 3pm.
