Northland to Launch SEC Network in Time for Football Season

Northland Communications, a member of the National Cable Television Cooperative, announced the execution of a broad multi-year distribution agreement with The Walt Disney Company. The agreement will provide Northland customers with highly-anticipated sports programming including the SEC Network which will launch on or around August 14th, the Longhorn Network, and WatchESPN.com access which will launch in the following weeks.

In addition to sports programming, the agreement includes top quality news and entertainment content from networks like ESPN and ABC Family, which will now be available to Northland customers via WatchTVEverwhere.com, granting access across multiple platforms including televisions, tablets, smartphones, gaming systems, computers, and more. “Northland is excited to provide our customers with access to highly requested programming, both at home and on-the- go. The agreement falls in line with our goal of delivering exceptional video content across multiple platforms,” said Melanie Hannasch, Vice President of Marketing. “Additionally, the launch of The SEC Network and The Longhorn Network will ensure Northland customers have access to popular games this football season. We would like to thank our customers for their patience as we finalized details of this broad, long-term agreement.”
