The Aiken Music Teacher’s Association sponsored its first public concert of the season Sun. Nov. 9th at the Grace Covenant Church of God.

There were 22 students who participated in the Fall Honors Recital, ranging in age from 4 1/2yrs. to 16yrs old.  Pianists Kasey Bodiford, Jackson Friday, Stella Clarke, Collin Smith, Emma Grace Hair, Zachary Rankin, Seth McNamee, Lexi Ewing, Emily Quill, Chloe Goff, Hannah McKinnon, Kyah Bodiford, Isaac McNamee, Hallie Anderson and Samuel McNamee are all from Aiken.  Graciela Hernandez, Bianca Diaz, and Amanda York are from Trenton, Connor Mihoulides and Thomas Palmer live in North Augusta.  Jordan Duncan is from Edgefield and Chasten Hoover from Wagner.

The young musicians played solos and duets in both contemporary and classical styles.

The next AMTA event will be a 4hr. Christmas Festival of Music at Cumberland Village in Aiken Dec. 14th.  The residents and public will be invited to come and go at their leisure, and enjoy music, punch, and holiday baked treats.
