Church Anniversary: Pleasant Grove Baptist Church will celebrate their 146th church anniversary, Sunday, May 17, at 1 p.m. Rev. Eldwin Griffin and the Mt. Alpha Baptist Church of Ward, S.C. will be in charge of the service. Sunday School will begin at 10 a.m. Rev. Oscar Brown is pastor. Everyone is welcome.

Church Anniversary: Trinity Community Church, 403 Mims St., Edgefield, invites you to its 158th anniversary, Sunday, May 17, at 4 p.m. Guest speaker will be Pastor Lester A. Smalls. Eddie J. Woods is pastor.

Homecoming: Johnston Pentecostal Holiness Church will have Homecoming Sunday, May 17, at 11 a.m. The guest speaker is Rev. Ray Massey. The public is cordially invited to attend.

American Legion Auxiliary: American Legion Auxiliary Unit 30 will meet on Monday, May 18, at 3:00 p.m. at the Senior Citizen Council Building.  Try to make arrangements to be at this meeting.  This is the time that we will discuss and distribute poppies for the members to sell. The poppy sale will be on Friday, May 23rd and Saturday, May 24th.
