Annette Riddle Miller

EDGEFIELD, S.C. – Mrs. Annette Riddle Miller, 78, wife of the late John Terrell Miller, Sr. entered into rest on Sunday, November 29, 2015.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday December 3, 2015 at 11 AM at Antioch Baptist Church with burial in church cemetery.

Mrs. Miller was born in Greenwood, S.C. she was the daughter of the late Walter and Maude Burris Riddle. She made her home in Edgefield County for the last 49 years. She was a graduate of Lander School of Nursing in 1962, where she received the Mamie Cobb Award, which was given to the nurse who most exemplified devotion to the spirit of nursing. She went on to work in the nursing profession for 52 years. She was a longtime member of Antioch Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and played the organ and piano. She also served as a member of the Edgefield County Hospital Board of Directors.

Survivors include her daughter, Lynne (Brad) Purcell; 2 sons, John (Sheila) Miller and Philip Miller; granddaughters, Lauren Sutton and Hannah Purcell; grandsons, Jack Miller, David Miller, Kevin Miller, and Mark Miller; great-granddaughter, Emma Clair Sutton and a sister, Betty Corley.

The family is at the home and will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home.
