The first pitch was thrown by Bill Cheatham, joined by his wife Charlotte.  The Cheathams were recognized for their contributions to the Dixie Youth Program that started in 1987 when they coached and dug-out momed T-ball.  Bill continued to coach and served as the president of the league for several years while Charlotte was promoted to concession stand chief operating officer.  In their twenty-ninth year of service to the youth of Edgefield the players, coaches and parents say thank you by dedicating the Edgefield 2016 Season to Bill and Charlotte Cheatham.
