On Saturday October 14, 2012, Republican Grove Baptist Church held their “October Feast.” A good time was had by all those that were in attendance, being hosted by Rev. Willie Patten, Jr. and first lady Lunette Patten. No one went home hungry. Albert Curry enjoyed the wagon rides almost as much as the kids did.

The Episcopal Church of the Ridge held its 12th annual Blessing of the Animals Sunday, October 21st at Our Savior Episcopal Church in Trenton.
On September, 11th, 2012, The Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office and the Humane Society of the United States conducted a large scale animal rescue in Johnston, S.C. One person was taken into custody by the ECSO on charges of animal cruelty. There were hundreds of animals, in various stages of well-being, on the premises.
