Many dogs – and a few other animals, too – came to The Episcopal Church of the Ridge on Sunday for the 12th annual Blessing of the Animals. This service is conducted in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures. To honor gentle St. Francis, pets come to church for blessing as a way of reminding ourselves of the beauty of God’s creation.
