Thanks to Linda Nidiffer for her thoughtful writing on “ Thinking it Through”. And also as always I enjoy and agree with Robert Scott. So true about his thoughts on how the Italian people live and their take on the environment and trains. I’ve just returned from a 10 trip in Italy in the Tuscany area, and found that so true with the people.

I have the pleasure of visiting Edgefield for work. I am a real estate abstractor and know that covid has disrupted everyone’s life. I am not quite sure why the Clerk of Court still has the courthouse so locked up. The only way I can do my job is make 2 hour appointments, one in the am, then wait 2 hours for another appointment for just 2 more hours. I understand the reason for appointments, but how about 9-12 at least. Having to wait 2 hours between appointment is a bit extreme. If I have a very involved search it is not even possible to complete with a entire day of only 4 hours of work. This pandemic has put enough stress on everyone without adding stress that is just necessary. Realize that most of us travel from out of town. I have not left my name, not sure it would be in my best interest.

I was discouraged, frankly speaking, when I recognised my images at your web-site. If you use a copyrighted image without an owner’s approval, you must know that you could be sued by the creator.

It’s unlawful to use stolen images and it’s so сheap!

See this document with the links to my images you used at and my earlier publications to obtain the evidence of my ownership.

Download it now and check this out for yourself:

If you don’t remove the images mentioned in the file above within the next couple of days, I’ll file a complaint against you to your hosting provider informing them that my copyrights have been severely infringed and I am trying to protect my intellectual property.

And if it doesn’t work, you may be pretty damn sure I am going to take legal action against you! And I won’t give you a prior notice again.

  8. Reader   August 11, 2019 at 1:10 pm

Mr Robert Scott. Have you ever considered writing a letter to the editor of thestate paper on your gun views. You express yourself so beautifully.
    Thanks for truth and honesty!

Mr Scott. Again thank you for saying what needs to be said. Too bad You don’t get the recognition that you deserve, to open our eyes to the world.

  10. Cindy   January 30, 2019 at 8:10 am

Again I want to applaud Robert Scott for his thoughtful and informed opinions!!
Was glad to read the one especially on Sen. Tim Scott. I email him and Lindsey very very frequently but this last one I thanked him for standing up after reading your column. You are one reason I like the paper! Keep us informed.

Mr Scott again thank you for your timely piece on “Voting for Change”, but I fear it falls on deaf ears. You are so on point when you say our country has been morally degraded the last 2 years. It is painfull for me to watch the degrading rhetoric and sadly it is cheered on.?

Recently my wife and I brought our nine year old granddaughter to the square for a visit. She loves the General Store. We also went to the courthouse, where we met two very helpful, friendly employees.
Devin Kennedy, the door guard introduced us to Sonny Reel, Clerk of Court who took time to tell us stories and much of the history of the courthouse. Mr. Reel showed us interesting items there also. My granddaughter, who is from Lexington was very impressed, as were we.
Thank you Sonny, for your patience, consideration and your knowledge on our visit.

    Mr Scott
Again a timely and thoughtful op-ed on Prejudice, 2017style. So true.
This is a sad time for our country . When the press is under fire and alternative facts spouted by the White House and people believe what they say then it is dangerous. What about his tax return, and how big he won , his relationship with Putin which they are trying to stop. Is this America? What if Obama or Clinton had done any of these things? I guess if you are not black and female it is ok and a Republican .

Douglas Elementary School would like to increase their number of newspapers that you deliver from 18 to 21 papers. Could this increase be made by next week? Thanks

  16. Cynthia   August 6, 2016 at 4:26 pm

Mr Scott again thank you for your timely and humane piece on Prejudice,2016 Style

  17. Cynthia   August 6, 2016 at 4:23 pm

I would like for Scott cooper to print the names of the advisors that have ties to the Muslim Brotherhood for Hillary’s campaign. These are the sort of lies that Donald trump loves to tell and people believe him. He should google what the Clinton Foundation does all over the world to save lives. Does he know about Clintons businesses in Russia and other countries?

There is no truth in the article (Aviation-Busness Gazette, Leonard P Lalonde, Sr.) sent to you by Mr. YODER. I have never flown for any airline company. I do not know who originated the article and have no other knowledge of it. Thanks Leonard P Lalonde, Sr.
