The Edgefield County Chamber of Commerce Along with The Edgefield County Senior Citizens Council are putting together Bags of Love for senior citizens.
There are plenty of seniors in our community living alone and dependent on community agencies for food, socialization, and basic human contact. What this event brings will brighten their day and warm their hearts!
Put together a small “Bag of Love” for a homebound senior citizen and Meals on Wheels will deliver bag for Valentine’s Day.
Suggestions: Valentine Card, soap, toothpaste, band-aids, antiseptic cream, cotton balls, washcloths, comb, artificial sweetener, magnifying glass, calendars, devotional books, sugar-free candy, eye-drops, tissue, books toothbrush, hand lotion, blankets, stretch gloves, false teeth holders.
Bring bags on or before 12:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 8, to the Chamber office at 416 Calhoun Street, Johnston. If group is participating, call for pick-up at 803-275-0010
