Downtown Drive-In Movie Showing “Dr. Dolittle”

On the Edgefield Square – Saturday, October 12

The Edgefield Community Development Association along with the special sponsor, Dr. Bagshaw and staff from Edgefield Veterinary Clinic, invites everyone to the Downtown Drive-in movie night on the Square in historic Edgefield on Saturday, October 12, 2013, as part of the Fall Harvest Festival celebration.

ECDA members are quoted: “Bring your family, your neighbors, and your friends and gather around the Edgefield Square for the showing of “Dr. Dolittle.” Eddie Murphy stars as the hilarious doctor who finds he can communicate with animals.  Now dozens of creatures seek his advice in this wild and wooly comedy, unleashing an outrageously funny chain of events. The movie is rated PG-13.

“Come out early to meet the animals up for adoption by the K9 Shelter Rescue group starting at 6:30 p.m. The movie will start at dusk (around 7:30 p.m.).  Remember to bring your lawn chairs or blanket and enjoy another fun-filled movie night under the stars. The movie will begin at Dark with the Wells Fargo Bank Building again being the movie backdrop.  Bring lawn chairs for seating along the side of the square, grassy areas will be off limits due to reseeding.”

Dr. Bagshaw & Associates will have “Hotdogs” available for purchase along with chips and drinks.  The Civic League will also have desserts and snow cones available.

The Edgefield Community Development Association would like to pay special thanks to Dr. Bagshaw and his wonderful staff at the Edgefield Veterinary Clinic for sponsoring the October 12, 2013 Downtown Drive-in movie event.

Parking is available at the Discovery Center parking lot, the Dialysis Center, Edgefield First Baptist, and along the side streets of Edgefield.

Anyone wishing to sponsor a future movie night or have any questions, please contact Kate Lowish (843-408-5907).
