Cancelled: Edgefield County Transportation meeting for Dec.5 has been cancelled due to their being no business on our CTC agenda.

Cancelled: The Edgefield County Planning Commission meeting for December 12, at 6pm has been cancelled.

Johnston United Methodist Church will be selling barbecue at the Johnston Farmer’s & Artist’s HOLIDAY Market on Thursday, December 5th, in front of the Library/Warehouse building on Calhoun Street.  Chickens ($9 whole, $5 half), Sandwich/Chips/Drink $6, and Pulled Pork $8/lb. will be available from 12 – 6 p.m.

Town Hall Meeting: The Democratic Party will have a town hall meeting at Macedonia Baptist Church on Saturday, Dec. 7 at noon. On 1-1-14 you will be asked to show one of the following ID’s at your polling place: SC Driver’s License or ID card issued by the SC DMV, SC Voter Registration with photo, Federal Military ID or US Passport. Gospel Explosion 2013: Trinity Community Church invites you to the TCC Gospel Explosion to benefit the church building fund. It will be held at the Edgefield Gym, Saturday, Dec. 7 at 5 p.m. Doors open at 4 p.m. The following will be on the program: Sons of God, Pinckney Sisters, Billy Smith and the Radio Angels, Science Hill and Bethlehem Male Choruses and JC Praise Team. Everyone is invited with an entrance donation of $5.00.

A Purchase of a T-Shirt helps feed the hungry: T-shirts for sale, with $1.00 going to the Food Bank; Help reach goal of 45 T-Shirts which equal 350 holiday meals, with matched funds. Year of Jubilee Rally: Mount Canaan Baptist Church and Pastor, Rev. George L. Brightharp invite you to the Year of  Jubilee Rally, Sunday, Dec. 8, at 6 p.m. in the church sanctuary, 2451 Edgefield Road, Trenton. Christmas Musical: Shepherds, Sheep, and a Savior is a 30-minute musical telling the Christmas story from the shepherds’ perspective.  We would like to invite you to come and see the children at Philippi Baptist Church present the musical on Sunday, Dec. 8th at 6:30pm.

Living Christmas Tree:  The Philippi Baptist Church Adult Choir will present the cantata “Bethlehem Morning” on Sunday, Dec. 15th at 6:00pm and Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 7:00pm. Please make plans to join us on these special evenings.

Mass Choir Concert: The Edgefield County Mass Choir will have their 2013 Christmas Concert on Saturday, Dec. 21 at 4 p.m. at Strom Thurmond High School Gym.
