Spring Revival: Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Johnston is having their spring revival Wednesday and Thursday, April 16 & 17 at 7:30 p.m. The public is invited. Rev. Lewis Burt is pastor.

CarWash/FishFry: The Simpkins & Dawkins Family will be hosting their annual Car wash & Fish Fry on Saturday April 19,  beginning at 8:00am with the carwash and fish will be ready for sale at 11am.  on Main Street in Edgefield beside the Laundry mat.

Episcopal Services: Maundy Thursday services will be held in Trenton at Our Savior Episcopal Church at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, April17; Good Friday services will be held at noon at Trinity Episcopal Church in Edgefield,  Father DiMarco will be officiating; Easter Vigil will be held on Saturday at Our Savior Episcopal Church in Trenton at 7:00 p.m., April 19; Easter services will be held, for the Episcopal Church of the Ridge, at 10:00 a.m.. Ridge Spring, at Grace Episcopal Church.

Good Friday Service: Good Friday Service will be observed at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Johnston, at 4 p.m. The Rev. Charles Dawkins will lead the Worship Service. The public is invited to attend.

Edgefield United Methodist Church invites you to Holy Week Services: Maundy Thursday service on Thursday, 7pm at Edgefield UMC.  Good Friday service on Friday, 7pm at Barr’s Chapel on North Martintown Road.  Easter Sunrise service on Sunday, 6:30am at Slade’s Lake with a Light Breakfast following the service at the church.  Easter Cantata on Sunday at 11am at Edgefield UMC.  We hope you will join us…. All are welcome!

Easter Egg Hunt: Trenton United Methodist Church will host their annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19, at 3:30 p.m. on the church grounds at 119 Wise Street in Trenton. Children ages 0 to 12 are invited to participate. Every bunny welcome!

Good Friday/Easter Service: The Good Friday service at Spann UMC will be held at 7:00 pm on April 18.  It will include songs of the cross and a meditation by Pastor John Kneece.  Easter Sunday worship is at 9:45 am.Spann is located in downtown Ward.  All are welcome.  For more info call 803-430-1314.

Easter Sunrise Service: Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Johnston will have their Easter Sunrise Service, Sunday, April 20, at 5:30 a.m. The public is invited.

Sunrise Service: Shaws Creek Baptist Church, Sunday, April 20 at 6 a.m.

American Legion Auxiliary: Monday, April 21, will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the Edgefield United Methodist Church at 3:00 p.m. Put this date on your calendar and plan to attend.  There are a lot of things to discuss.

RWEC Meeting: Republican Women of Edgefield County ( RWEC ) meeting will be held Monday, April 21, at 6:30 pm (soclal) and  7:00 pm (program) at Edgefield Town Hall. Edgefield Mayor Ken Durham will    speak to the group on updates, and business now before  Town Council members.

Revival: Springfield Baptist Church, Hwy. 25, Edgefield will have their Spring Revival, April 22 with guest minister, Rev. Calvin Robinson and April 23 with guest minister, Rev. Troy Nipper. The public is invited and the time is 7 p.m. Rev. Craig Myers is pastor.

Pastor’s Anniversary: Piney Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church in Edgefield invites you to celebrate our pastor’s anniversary, Pastor Marshall Hopkins, on Sunday, April 27, at 3 p.m. at the church. Guest speaker will be Bishop Troy Price of True Light Ministries in Newberry.

Humor in Poetry: Seminar, in memory of Starkey Flythe, Jr., and featuring his work; Sat., May 3, 2-4 p.m. Morris Museum of Art, One 10th St., Augusta, Ga., $10.00 admission, refreshments.  Discussion led by poet Gilbert Allen.

Luncheon: Fairview Baptist Church Women are hosting a luncheon, May 7,at 11 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall in North Augusta with guest speaker Jane Herlong.The public is invited.Tickets are $10 and may be published by Parks Pharmacy,Jim Bush Florist, church office or Mercy Me in Edgefield until May 1.

Homecoming/Revival: Rehoboth Baptist Church will have Homecoming Sunday, May 4, at 11 a.m. Rev. Brantley Bryan will preach and lunch will follow the service. Revival services will be held May 4-7 at 7 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Garvin as guest minister.

Little Junior Miss: DYW of Edgefield will sponsor Edgefield County’s Little Junior Miss Pageant on Saturday, May 17 at 10:00 at JET Middle School Cafeteria. It is open to ages K4 to 8th grade girls. Anyone interested should contact Stephanie Culver at 803-275-9349 for more information.
