Friends of the Library Sale: Seeking children’s books through the next three weeks for an April sale.

Shamrock Run/ Walk – Oyster Roast: The Town of Edgefield and the Edgefield County Chamber of Commerce will host the 9th annual Shamrock Run/Walk and Oyster Roast on Saturday, March 14. Pastor’s Appreciation: Republican Grove Baptist Church will honor their pastor, Rev. Willie Patten, Jr. on his 14th Pastoral Appreciation Sunday, March 15, at 11 a.m. Rev. Donald Bookard of Welcome Travelers Baptist Church will be the guest minister. Everyone is invited.

Pastor’s Anniversary: Mt.Calvary Baptist Church will celebrate their pastor’s 19th Anniversary, Sunday, March 15, at 4 p.m. Guest speaker is Rev. Alex Pope, pastor of First Providence Baptist Church in North Augusta. Rev. Lewis Burt is pastor. The public is invited.

Bingo Night: Johnston Elementary PTO will have a Family Bingo Night on Thursday, March 19. Hot Dog Supper begins at 5:30 and Bingo starts at 6 p.m. ($3 for bingo cards and $1.00 for hot dogs and drinks.)

Midlands Parkinson’s Support Group: Meets the third Sunday of every month (except June) 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Lexington Medical Center Hospital. This group is for Parkinson’s patients, their caregivers/care-partners, and anyone who has an interest in Parkinson’s disease. The next meeting will be held March 15 from 3-5 at the Lexington Park 1 Auditorium, 2720 Sunset Blvd., West Columbia. All are welcome to attend.

Revival: The public is invited to Mount Canaan Baptist Church, 2451 Edgefield Road, Trenton for revival March 25-27 at 7 p.m. Bishop Alfred Williams of Myrtle Beach will be the revivalist. Rev. George L. Brightharp is pastor of Mt. Canaan Baptist. In preparation for revival the sanctuary will be open for meditation and prayers on March 23-24 from 1-6 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Journey to Easter: Edgefield United Methodist Church will have two performances of the last week of the life of Christ: Saturday, March 28 at 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 29, at 3 p.m. at Kendall Mill on Norris Street in Edgefield. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.

Pageant: Johnston Peach Blossom Festival beauty pageant will be held on Saturday, March 28, at the Johnston Elementary School Gymnasium at 10:00 and 3:00. Young ladies between the ages of birth-20 are invited to compete. The Miss (17-20) will be awarded a scholarship to the college of her choice. The deadline for applications is March 18.
