Drugs Found in Re-possessed Vehicle

The Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office was notified Wednesday, Dec. 9, by Carolina Auto in North Augusta (Edgefield County) that drugs had been found in a vehicle the company had re-possessed. According to the ECSO report, an employee with Carolina Auto found a small clear plastic bag containing a small hard, rock-like substance in the middle console of the vehicle. The vehicle was re-possessed from the new Wal-Mart on Edgefield Road in North Augusta and was registered to a Trenton man. The ECSO collected the evidence. The evidence has been turned over to the narcotics division for testing and further investigation.
