This weekend, March 4-6, approximately 100 boy scouts and their families will be doing conservation projects on the Outdoor Education Center at the National Wild Turkey Federation.

The South Carolina Bluebird Society and the South Carolina DNR are donating 50 cypress bluebird boxes complete with predator baffles and poles to improve nesting habitat at the 700-acre complex. The complex has miles of bluebird trails that are part of the 700-acre Hunting Heritage Center which includes the Palmetto Shooting Complex and Outdoor Education Center.

Volunteers with the SCBS and SCDNR biologists will be supervising the installation.
