NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. – Funeral Services for Mrs. Judith Prescott Grubbs, 68, who entered into rest September 17, 2016, will be conducted Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Dr. Eleazer Benenhaley and Dr. Paul W. Noe officiating. Interment will be  in Sweetwater Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Grubbs was a native of Edgefield, having made North Augusta her home for the past 46 years. She was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church and retired from Westinghouse at the Savannah River Site. Mrs. Grubbs was preceded in death by a brother, Manning Prescott and a sister, Virginia Yonce. Survivors include her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Heather Grubbs,of Lexington; two granddaughters, Katelyn Grubbs and Lauryn Grubbs; a brother and his wife, Hammond and Marguerite Prescott, of  North Augusta; a step-son, Brian Grubbs of Augusta, Ga.; a brother-in-law, Preston Yonce. Pallbearers will be Bobby Peeler, Paul Prescott, Philip Prescott, John Yonce, Preston Yonce and Odus Francis. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 until 8.
