A lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, he was a son of the late Eugene Deas and the late Andrea Fields Deas Jones. A United States Army Veteran, he proudly served his county during Operation Iraqi Freedom in both Kuwait and Iraq, being honorably discharged with the rank of SPC. He was currently working with Amick Farms. Buddy enjoyed playing the guitar and firing up the grill. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his family and dogs.
In addition to his wife and parents, family members include siblings, Linda LaDawn Deas Kelley of Aiken, and Ezekiel Emmanuel Jones of Warrenville, and friend, Kayleigh Lewis and her children, Ryleigh Jade Ready and Nathan Vincent-Lee Ready of Warrenville, who were more like family, cousins who were more like brothers, Timothy Deas and his son, Nicholas James Deas and Nicholas Deas and nephews, Joseph and Patrick Brophy.
The family greeted friends on Friday, October 14, at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service was held on Saturday, October 15, at 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, Aiken, with Pastor Brancie Stephens officiating. Interment, with Veterans Honors performed by a United States Army Honor Guard, followed in Langley Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare, (www.letlovelive.org) due to Buddy and Andie’s love for animals.
