JOHNSTON – Graveside services for Mrs. Lou Carter Lewis, age 83, will be held Sunday, July 15, 2012 at 4 pm at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park. The family will receive friends after the service at the gravesite.

Mrs. Lewis died Wednesday, July 11, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Issac and Julia Bishop Carter. She was retired from Edgefield County Schools where she served as Administrative Secretary for 29 years. Mrs. Lewis was a member of the garden club, rook club, bridge club and Johnston Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husband: John Sayle Lewis (Jack); Sons: John Sayle Lewis, Jr (Anne), Simpsonville, SC and Carter Lewis (Rena) Colleyvile, TX. Brother: William Carter; Grandchildren: Kacie Forrest (Bill), Brent, Hannah, and Hayden Lewis, and dear friend Lillie Daniels. She was predeceased by brothers: Loyd and Jesse Carter, and Sister; Dorothy Mince.
