BBQ Chicken Sale: Johnston Pentecostal Holiness Church will have a BBQ chicken plate sale on Saturday, Feb. 2, at 11 a.m. Cost is $7 for a half BBQ chicken, potato salad, cole slaw and bread.

Black History Series: Lectures will be held at Macedonia Community Center at 10 a.m. each Saturday in February. The program is free to the public.

Soup, Sandwich and Smiles: Edgefield United Methodist Church invites everyone to their church at the corner of Bacon and Norris Streets(across from the Post Office) to enjoy soup, sandwiches and smiles with them every Thursday at noon in February. Dates are February 7,14, 21 and 28.

Little Jr. Miss: Edgefield County’s Distinguished Young Women Scholarship Program will sponsor the Wee, Little and Young Junior Miss pageant to be held Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. Entry fee is $35.For more info call Stephanie Culver at 275-9349.

Annual Pancake Supper: The Episcopal Church of the Ridge will again host this event on February 12th from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church’s Parish Hall in Edgefield.  The admission is $3.00 per person and “carry-out” plates will be available.  The public is invited.

Camellia Tea: The Edgefield Camellia Club will sponsor the Camellia Tea, Thurs., Feb. 14, at Magnolia Dale in Edgefield form 3-5:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Call 637-2370 for more information.

Pastoral Appreciation Sunday: Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Edgefield, will honor their pastor, Rev. Oscar W. Brown on his 4th Pastoral Appreciation, Sunday, Feb. 17,at 2:30 p.m. Rev. T.C. Edwards and Friendship Baptist Church of Aiken will be charge of the service.
