Bar-B-Q Fundraiser Benefit: for Sally Nash who is in need of a liver transplant. Fri. Feb. 22 and Sat. Black History Series: Lectures will be held at Macedonia Community Center at 10 a.m. each Saturday in February. The program is free to the public.

Soup, Sandwich and Smiles: Edgefield United Methodist Church invites everyone to their church at the corner of Bacon and Norris Streets(across from the Post Office) to enjoy soup, sandwiches and smiles with them every Thursday at noon in February. Dates are February 14, 21 and 28.

Mass Choir Rehearsals: Edgefield County Mass Choir will practice every Monday in February at 7 p.m. at Macedonia Church, Macedonia St., Edgefield. Everyone is welcome. Shamrock Run/Walk: Edgefield’s Annual Shamrock Run/Walk will be held Saturday March 16, in memory of Dr. Ned Nicholson and Dr. W.G.”Curly” Watson. Race forms are available at the Town of Edgefield, Escape Day Spa and the Town of Edgefield website.

Beauty Pageant:  Johnston Miss Peach Blossom Festival beauty pageant will be held on Saturday, April 6, at Johnston Elementary School at 10:00 and 3:00. Young ladies between the ages of birth-20 are invited to compete. The Miss (17-20) will be awarded a scholarship to the college of her choice. The deadline for applications is Wed., March 27.
