  • Break In at Warehouse on Augusta Rd. Near Turkey Federation

According to a report field with the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office, sometime between Friday, Nov. 1, and Monday, Nov. 4, Warehouse #4 on Augusta Rd. across from the National Wild Turkey Federation was broken into.  The report states that by unscrewing a side panel to gain access to the building, thieves were able to steal 12 Bridgestone semi-truck tires/rims worth over $5,000 as well as nearly 50 bales of hay valued at an estimated $750.  Investigators were called to the scene to process possible evidence, and the investigation into this matter is continuing.

  • Motorcycle Stolen from Carport

A black 2008 Buell Firebolt XB1 Motorcycle was reported stolen from beneath the carport of a home on Mt. Zion Rd. Monday, Nov. 4.  According to a report filed by the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office, the bike, estimated to be worth $6,000, was last seen in the late evening hours of Nov. 3, and the owner heard no noises during the night to indicate the motorcycle was being taken.  Besides the aforementioned color, the motorcycle is described as having a broken front left turn signal and a broken gear shifter.  The investigation into this crime continues.
