Second Person Sentenced in Marshal Butler, Jr. Murder

Tomekia Miller of Aiken pled guilty to accessory after the fact for her involvement in the 2012 murder of Marshal Butler, Jr., Thursday, Nov. 14, at the Edgefield County Court House.  Miller was sentenced to 2 years in prison and 4 years probation.  However, the 453 days she has served thus far in jail will be credited toward her prison sentence.

Miller was accused of aiding Fredrick Dale Harvey, Jr., of Allendale, after he shot Marshal Butler Jr. at a party at the former Executive Car Care in August of 2012.  Marshal died at the scene from 2 guns shots to the head.  Harvey, who was originally charged with murder, pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter in connection with this crime in August 2013.
