JOHNSTON, S.C. – Trina Vanessa Simpkins Felder, 36, of 630 Ridge Road, the wife of Willie Felder, III, died on January 15, 2014, in the University Hospital, Augusta, Ga.,
She was born in Edgefield, S.C., daughter of David Simpkins and the late Lillie Mae Johnston Simpkins. She was a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Teacher of the Youth, Program Committee, Assist. Financial Clerk and the Women’s Ministry. She was a 1996 graduate of Strom Thurmond High School and a graduate of Voorhees College with a degree in accounting and a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. She was employed by Urban Outfitters.
She is survived by: her father and stepmother, David and Irene Simpkins of Edgefield; her husband, Willie Felder, III, of the home; two sons, Willie X. Felder and JaKobe J. Felder both of the home; two daughters, Zakara Simpkins of the home and Shax’via Felder of Johnston, S.C.; three sisters, Madeline Stalling and Josephine (Anthony) Satterwhite both of North Augusta, S.C.. and Christine (John Anthony) Holman of Denmark, S.C>; mother-in-law, Ruby B. Felder, Barnwell, S.C.; father-in-law, Willie (Doris) Felder, Jr., of Blackville, S.C>; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
Double funeral services will be held for Trina Felder and Willette Simpkins on Monday, at 1:00 p.m., at the Riverside Community Center, Saluda, S.C., conducted by Reverend Lewis Burt. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. The body will be placed in Riverside Community Center at noon, Monday. Public viewing will be 12:00-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home
