A single car accident on Cold Springs Road claimed the life of 28 year old Wesley David Lawrence of Modoc, SC, early Sunday morning, Mar. 2, at around 12:05 a.m.  According to the SC Highway Patrol, Lawrence was driving north on Cold Springs in a 2004 Chevrolet pick-up truck when he ran off the left side of the roadway striking several trees.  Lawrence was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident and was ejected from the automobile.  He was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident.
