Nearly $5,000 Worth of Items Stolen in Auto Break-In

Sometime in the early morning hours on Tuesday, Apr. 22, thieves broke into a 2005 GMC Yukon located at a home on Caslina Drive in North Augusta (Edgefield County) and stole nearly $5,000 worth of items.

According to the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office’s report, the owner of the vehicle found the Yukon’s driver and passenger’s side windows broken and several items missing from the vehicle.  Among the items stolen were Navy military uniforms, gym clothes, shoes, a laptop, a tablet, a watch, a ring, and change from the ashtray.  Damage to the Yukon was estimated to be $500.

This incident is being investigated by the ECSO.
