Molly Spearman, State-Wide Candidate, to Speak in Edgefield [Update – Cancelled]

Molly Spearman, a native of Saluda County and candidate for S. C. Superintendent of Education, will be in Edgefield on Monday, October 20, at 6:30 p.m., to speak.  The event will be held at Piedmont Technical College Community Conference Center at 506 Main Street.

Her literature notes that she is “a product of South Carolina schools and has served for 18 years as a teacher and public school administrator.”

In 1993 she served four terms in the House of Representatives and was appointed Deputy Secretary of Education in 1998.  She is currently the leader of the SC Association of School Administrators.

Ms. Spearman will speak about her plans to address the issues confronting today’s students and educators and will entertain questions from the audience.  The public is invited. Persons of all political affiliations are encouraged to attend.
