Senior Citizen Program: Mt. Calvary Baptist Church is having their annual Senior Citizen Dec. 13, at 1:30 p.m. All Senior Citizens are invited. Rev. Lewis Burt is pastor.

The United Mass Choir (Bethlehem Gospel Choir, Bacon Chapel Choir and MSY Mass Choir) will present 1st Christmas Outpour featuring Elder David Smith and Min. Calvin Turner with special guest, Voices of Grace Cathedral Ensemble; Saturday, December 13, at 6 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Edgefield.

Walking Tour of Churches: Sunday, Dec. 14, beginning at 3 p.m. at the Catholic Church. A 15 minute program joining Mary and Joseph will be held in the Catholic, First Baptist, Episcopal and Methodist churches, all in Edgefield. Apple cider, eggnog and Christmas cookies will be served at Magnolia Dale after the program.

Edgefield United Methodist Church: Upcoming special activities include the Adult Choir Christmas Cantata during worship on Dec 14, the Tour of Churches on Dec 14 at 3pm and the Barr’s Chapel Old Fashioned Lamplight Worship Service, Dec 17 at 6pm. Refreshments will be at the Westbrooks after the Barrs Chapel service.   Please join us for any or all these events and be sure to bring a friend! All are welcome!

Christmas CantataA Living Christmas Tree: Philippi Baptist Church, 125 Steeple Rd., Johnston and their Adult Choir will present,The First NoelCelebrating the Birthday of a King,Sunday, December 14 at 6 p.m. and Tuesday, December 16, at 7 p.m. A nursery will be provided. The Choir is led by Valerie McClendon and accompanied by Wallace Watkins. Come and enjoy the music and the lights of the Living Christmas tree.

Relay Kick-Off: The Relay For Life of Edgefield County 2014-2015 Kick-Off and Wrap Up will be Monday, December 15, at 6:00 pm in the Strom Thurmond High School cafeteria. Everyone Welcome! Come find out how you can help in the Fight for a CURE!

Drive By Live Nativity: Sunday, Dec. 21, 5:30-8:30 p.m., Johnston United Methodist Church on the corner of Lee & Church streets(in case of inclement weather will be Mon., Dec. 22) with live animals and music.

8th Annual Christmas Toy Drive: Southern Eagles Motorcycle Club will sponsor a Christmas Toy Drive. Donation boxes are located in various businesses in Johnston and Edgefield. Toys will be given out on Dec. 20 at the Discovery Center in Edgefield. For more information call 803-275-7434.
