Antioch Baptist Church gave away 209 dozen donuts to the five middle and high schools in Edgefield County last week as part of an outreach ministry. Throughout the week long ministry effort, there were donuts left over – unbelievable, huh? Those donuts were given to the faculty and staff of Parker and Meriwether Elementary Schools as well as to businesses on the square in Edgefield. The church members also visited a few local home schools to pass out donuts, and they gave several dozen to the National Guard stationed in Edgefield. Of the church’s sweet gift, Youth Pastor Randy Jackson said, “Every school, every student, every faculty member loved it! They were ecstatic.”
