Prayer Service: A community prayer service will be held for the families of the victims of the shootings at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church at Johnston United Methodist Church, 471 Lee St. in Johnston, SC on June 25 at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome!

Poetry Reading: The Discovery Center, Saturday, June 27 at 1PM. Remarkable Malaika Favorite and Barbadian Tony Kellman. Book signing and refreshments.

Book Sale: The Edgefield County Public Library is holding a sale on Children’s books.  Prices are as marked or according to a posted fee chart.

Edgefield – The Edgefield Community Development Association (ECDA) invites everyone to the annual June Downtown Movie on the Square in historic Edgefield on Friday, June 26, 7 p.m. sponsored by Antioch Baptist Church. Bring your family, your neighbors, and your friends to gather around the Edgefield Square for the Showing of “The Legos Movie.” Free popcorn, sno-cones, games, and drinks. Bring your chairs or blankets.

Edgefield Cruise-In:on the square, Sat., July 18, 4 to 7 p.m., rain or shine. People with classic cars, trucks or motorcycles are invited to park on the square.
