Richard Broadwater, 47, of Johnston, was killed in a hit and run on Monument Drive in Johnston, Saturday, Aug. 22, around 8:40 in the evening. According to the SC Highway Patrol, Broadwater was in the roadway when he was struck by an unidentified vehicle. The SCHP is investigating this incident. As they have no information on the vehicle that struck Broadwater at this time, the SCHP is asking anyone who may have seen the hit and run or may have knowledge regarding it to call the SCHP at 864-241-1000.
